1947:
Noel Lacroix establishes N. Lacroix Plumbing and Heating in Timmins, Ontario, focusing on installing water-based plumbing/hydronics heating and cooling systems in northern Ontario schools.

1950s-1970s:
The company expands its services, providing plumbing and heating solutions for new homeowners and businesses as the Timmins area grows.

1977:
Noel's sons Bernie, Rick, and son-in-law Gerry take over the business. They acquire L’Ecuyer Tin Shop, enabling the company to fabricate its own sheet metal products for HVAC systems and expand into mechanical contracting.

2000s:
Pierre (Peter) Lacroix, Noel’s grandson, takes over operations after growing up in the business, working on job sites since the age of twelve.

2007:
To support our ongoing growth, we recently completed a building refurbishment and expanded our shop floor area. Supported by a community improvement grant, this expansion allowed us to house a broader range of fabricating equipment, enhancing our operational capabilities.

2008:
N. Lacroix Plumbing and Heating wins the Nova Award for the best company in the 6-49 employees category.

2020:

Longtime contributors Dave C. and Dave E. officially join Peter as partners to strengthen leadership and accelerate growth.

2022:

Proudly commemorated our 75th anniversary, reaffirming our longstanding commitment to delivering quality work and meeting deadlines.

2025:

We unveiled our new modern logo and brand identity, marking the first visual update since 1947 and rolling out immediately across vehicles, documents, job sites, and digital platforms.

Present Day:

The company now provides services in plumbing, ventilation, hydronics, registered fuels, heating, cooling, electrical, controls, and sheet metal fabrication.
